Follow the installation guide for your SGUDA smart lock. Check the required tools and installation steps before getting started.

Installation Requirements
Make sure the front and back units can sit completely flush against the door after installation.
Suitable for Doors with a Standard Single-Bore Lock
A 54 mm (2-1/8″) hole is required above the door handle, along with a latch faceplate recess on the edge of the door:
- Latch bore: 25.4 mm
- Faceplate length: 57.2 mm
- Faceplate width: 25.4 mm
Suitable for Doors with a Deadbolt
Not Suitable for Mortise Lock Doors
A.Drilling Templates
Download the drilling template and check the required dimensions before installation.
a. Drill a 54 mm (2-1/8″) Hole
b. Drill a 25.4 mm (1″) Hole
Door
For the latch faceplate, chisel a recess:
- Length: 57.15 mm (2-1/4″)
- Width: 25.4 mm (1″)
- Depth: 4 mm (5/32″)
Door Frame
- Center hole: 25.4 mm (1″) diameter × 25.4 mm (1″) deep
- Strike plate recess:
- Length: 57.15 mm (2-1/4″)
- Width: 25.4 mm (1″)
- Depth: 2 mm (5/64″)
B.Adjusting the Latch Backset
Rotate the latch to adjust the backset to 60 mm or 70 mm.

Follow the complete installation steps, from door preparation to final setup.
1. Measure the door
Ensure the lock fits the door perfectly.
Contact SGUDA official with photos for a professional evaluation.
2. Insert deadbolt into the side of the door
Rotate the deadbolt to adjust its length, with the latch facing upward.
Insert the deadbolt into the door. Make sure the center of the door hole is horizontally aligned, then secure it with screws.
3. Insert exterior assembly outside of the door
Pass the cable under the latch and insert the torque blade horizontally.
Ensure the internal protrusion faces upward.
4. Install the mounting plate inside of the door
Thread the cable through the plate and secure with 2 long screws.
Hold the exterior assembly firmly and do not pull the wires.
5. Remove the cover of the exterior assembly
Match cable colors to connect the assemblies.
Insert connectors vertically and fully to ensure a stable connection.
6. Install receiver assembly inside of the door (connect the wires)
Set the thumbturn to “unlocked” and retract the latch.
Fit the interior assembly and secure with 3 short screws.
7. Attach three screws and insert the batteries
Install alkaline batteries and replace the cover. Test the thumbturn and key for smooth rotation.

8 Test the lock and see if it works
Download the SGUDA APP and pair it with the lock to test all functions.
